With approximately. 20,000 square meters of space, the installation is among the world‘s largest and most technically sophisticated interior projections - 21 powerful projectors on a projection screen. „320 ° light, is part of the exhibition “Der schöne Schein„- the variety of beauty in the art shown inside the gasometer from 11 April 2014 to 1 November 2015.

The entire workflow from conception and creation to warping, slicing, rendering, and projection was of an unprecedented complexity and had to be carefully moderated and verified. To make the dimension of this monumental project comprehensible to the public, I prepared this technical documentation.

In the studio of Urbanscreen, a model of the gasometer was built for the purpose of checking the visual content, which should simulate the effect on the spot. In this project, I was mainly responsible for the construction and installation of the model and the setup and administration of the media server, which was used to warp the visual content onto the projection screen. Because of the inadequate space, the projection fields of the projectors had to be extended via mirrors. Besides, a conical shape had to convey the insufficient height. To counteract a concave warping of the particular strained membrane, the construct was inflated with a blower and held under pressure. In addition to the administration of the Minimodell, I also assisted in 2D / 3D animation and documentation.
