HOM // INHOMOGENOUS

HOM // INHOMOGENOUS

1. CASE STUDY

“INHOMOGENOUS is dedicated to the process of architectural creation. The Karlsruhe castle‘s ornate baroque facade is deconstructed into its basic graphical elements. Dots, lines and faces provide the structure for a journey through alternative architectural formations and a playful exploration of styles and design principles.

Starting from a highly abstract dot matrix, the castle’s facade passes through different stages of design – dots become lines, lines assemble to grids, surfaces, volumes and, finally, to new possible and impossible architectural bodies.”

2. PRODUCTION

Inspired by the ingenuous architecture of Zaha Hadid and her legacy this scenario was dedicated to the specific organic appearance of the Heydar Aliyev Centre.
