POST
BE//LONGING is a monumental 180° projection mapping installation on the Alte Oper Frankfurt, transforming the Neo-Renaissance facade into an immersive environment exploring themes of community, identity, and shared space. The work uses the opera house's architectural grandeur as a framework for examining what it means to belong—socially, emotionally, and existentially.

The installation creates an overwhelmingly immersive experience that surrounds the audience on the building's monumental front, merging architecture and digital media into a unified perceptual field. By scaling the projection to the building's dimensions, BE//LONGING creates a shared sensory experience that collective bodies occupying the same space creates bonds and temporary community.

BE//LONGING questions how architecture and light can create emotional resonance with place. The project demonstrates projection mapping as a medium for exploring intangible human experiences—belonging, identity, collective memory—transforming a historic public monument into a space for contemporary artistic reflection on community and social connection.
