POST
We were honored to present our project RADIX at the Lumenprize shortlist. In September 2016, half a year after its premiere, the sculpture was shortlisted in the BCS Immersive Environment Award category and exhibited with the other shortlisted works at Hackney House in London.
Radix exemplifies our continuing exploration of organic sculpture mapping and interactive projection systems, blending generative visuals with spatially embedded surfaces. Here the surface is a real root, which we produced for the Luminale Lighting Biennale and first showed at the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt in March 2016. The piece deals with the dichotomy of nature and technology.

The Lumen Prize "recognizes and celebrates digitally created art on a global scale". London was the first of two international awards stages for RADIX that year and the next: in 2017 it received the New Face Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival in Tokyo.
