POST

At the Platine Festival 2016 in Cologne, I had the opportunity to present Radix, Xenorama’s projection sculpture, as part of a program dedicated to artistic interventions at the intersection of media, technology, and space.

Installed in a former industrial site repurposed as a cultural venue, Radix activated the architecture through organic sculpture mapping and light-based spatial transformation. The projection adapted in real time to the sculptural form, generating a dialogue between algorithmic imagery and physical material — a core aspect of our ongoing research in interactive mapping and augmented stage environments.

What made this exhibition context particularly resonant was the Platine Festival’s commitment to showcasing works that redefine urban and technological experience. Presenting Radix here allowed us to explore how projection mapping can function not just as a visual layer, but as a mediating structure between digital narrative and physical environment.

We thank the Platine team and the audience for their engagement and curiosity — and for reaffirming our belief in the role of media art to transform public space and perception.
