Immersive audio-visual Installation

INTRO

In human perception light always spreads out in a radial manner from a source. What if light rays were instead arranged in parallel to each other in space?

We have been addressing this research since 2022 in ongoing aesthetic and technical experiments in the DIOPTRICON project.

Key challenges
Visualizing a complex large scale process

Developing a portfolio of physical effects

Creating an immersive experience

Creating an immersive experience

The construction of light sources, frames, reflective surfaces and lenses can reconfigure space in yet unknown constellations. In the individually experienced installation light is made visible as a space-forming medium.

THE OUTCOME

Depending on the viewing perspective, it forms enclosed structures, enters into a relationship with the body or opens up into an apparent infinity.

Title here

In the current prototype state, we have tested various spatial configurations as well as visual and acoustic content that can be adapted to space and context for future exhibitions and installations.
