INTRO
In 2022 Weißenfels celebrated an anniversary year for the composer Heinrich Schütz and the poet and philosopher Novalis. RE:ZITATION, projected onto Schloss Neu-Augustusburg, was the finale of the celebrations.
Algorithms based on AI took Schütz's compositions and Novalis's poetry as their material and generated new sound and images from them, which XENORAMA mapped onto the castle façade (Xenorama). The work was commissioned by the Kulturamt Weißenfels and the Heinrich-Schütz-Haus.
