At the Water Light Festival in Brixen, Italy, XENORAMA was present in two places in May 2023: STRATA in the garden of the town's public library, and LUMINOUS OBJECTS at the Waterlight Hub in Neustift (Xenorama).

LUMINOUS OBJECTS is XENORAMA's ongoing research series between digital image and sculpture. The objects are a homage to the lens, the prism and the cube as basic elements in the history of the digital screen, each set on a light-emitting surface and paired with synchronised virtual light, animation and sound (project page).

LIGHT AT NEUSTIFT ABBEY

Running since 2022 and curated by Bettina Pelz, the Neustift strand places 19 artists working with light and digital media in dialogue with the heritage of Neustift Abbey, a working monastery (Kloster Neustift). On 5 May XENORAMA presented its work there and led a workshop for the festival symposium, “Working with nature's structures” (festival page).

From 3 to 21 May the festival turned the old town's façades, fountains and the confluence of the Eisack and Rienz into a night trail, open from 21:00 to midnight. LUMINOUS OBJECTS belonged to the other half of the festival, the daytime venues outside the centre, open from 10:00 to 17:00 (festival overview).
